This paper presents a systematic literature review of studies reported between 2012 and 2017 related to agile and non-agile methodologies applied in Big Data projects. For validating our review process, a text mining method was used. The results reveal that since 2016 the number of articles that integrate the agile manifesto in Big Data project has increased, being Scrum the agile framework most commonly applied.
