Electrical distribution system reconfiguration for future meshed networks
This paper presents a heuristic reconfiguration algorithm developed for implementation in a very flexible meshed network with remote controlled switches for real-time operating mode. The purpose is that of on-line minimisation of network operation costs over a time period, mainly through minimisation of power losses and the number of switching operations, preserving at the same time load balancing. The algorithm's ability to perform an efficient optimal reconfiguration in normal operating condition has been tested in reference to a different degree of complexity of the meshed network which it is applied to.
