Epistemic Network Analysis of College Students' Reflective Ability Based on Popper Cycle Model
As the higher order ability of learners, reflective ability promotes the individual cognitive development of learners' knowledge construction learning. In this study, 37 undergraduate students were selected to conduct reflective learning with the help of Popper cycle model. Through content analysis, descriptive statistical analysis and epistemic network analysis, learners' reflective ability and characteristics were explored. The results showed that procedural problem appeared the most frequently, but the lowest was the creative problem. As the turns increased, students reflected on problems from multiple perspectives and focused on the internal connections between the knowledge. Compared with the low-score group, the high-score group reflected more on the multistructural and relational structure level of procedural problems and creative problems. Finally, implications, limitations and future research were discussed.
