TCSC uses highly reliable, high-power Thyristor components to replace mechanical HVAC switches, so that the electrical parameters can be quickly adjusted in reducing power loss, greatly improving system stability and reliability by impedance adjustment. In this paper, MATLAB simulation of two bus system connected by 230kV Double Transmission Line to the load is presented, to study power flow with a comparison of the system feature with and without TCSC. The working characteristics of TCSC indicate the operating adjustment range of TCSC under various load conditions. The main factors affecting the operating characteristics of TCSC include the controlled firing angle accuracy of the Thyristor, the rated voltage of the FSC and the rated current of the TCR. 摘要
