Most of the recent satellites carried GPS or GNSS modules onboard for precise orbit determination. Besides using them for the navigation, they can also be used for many other applications. In this paper, the mission of the microsatellite VELOX-CI is presented. The satellite carried an in-house developed GPS radio occultation payload that consists of 3 GPS receiver modules.
