REAPROVEITAMENTO DO REJEITO DO TRATAMENTO DE ÁGUA NO SETOR DE HEMODIÁLISE
This research deals with the possibilities of reuse of the so-called wastewater, resulting from the treatment of water by reverse osmosis in the Hemodialysis Sector. Since water is a natural good essential to the emergence and maintenance of life on the planet, the concern with its preservation grows every year. The water element is also essential in the treatment of chronic kidney patients, because every solution that makes blood cleaning is composed of water, which must have an absolute degree of purity, because any contaminating factor will bring even greater damages to the health of the patient. The water used in hemodialysis is purified through a system called Reverse Osmosis. This type of treatment also produces an amount of highly saline wastewater, called tailings, brine or concentrate. Therefore, the objective of this work was to verify the possibility of reusing the waste from reverse osmosis, aiming at the economy and preservation of nature. The article was based on theoretical references whose theme is the treatment of water used in units of Hemodialysis and its possible uses. As a result, it can be observed that tailings, properly analyzed, can be used in floor cleaning, drainage boxes and laundries, among others. It was concluded that the reverse osmosis technique, by the final quality of the water produced and its cost-benefit, is the best form of purification adopted by hospitals.
