This paper introduces the fundamentals of wireless power transfer application in rail, investigates transmitting coils with different conical angles and obtains the magnetic field intensity distributions at various lift-off distances between the coil and rail. An equivalent circuit model is built to illustrate the relationship between the coil and rail.
