Therefore, this study aims to examine: 1) The Scientific Approach of the English textbook “Forward”; and 2) the Communicative Competence of the English textbook “Forward”. The method used in this study was a content analysis method in which it is a kind of descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study indicated that the textbook had implemented all stages of the Scientific Approach consisting of 80.77% observing activities; 58% of questioning activities, 70.77% of exploring activities, 75% of reasoning/associating activities, and 35.90% of communicating activities. 摘要

教材在教学活动过程中起着重要的作用。因此,本研究旨在考察:1)英语教材《前进》的科学取向;2)英语教材《前进》的交际能力。本研究采用的方法是内容分析法,是一种描述性质的研究。研究结果表明,该教材实施了科学方法的各个阶段,其中观察活动占80.77%;提问活动占58%,探索活动占70.77%,推理/联想活动占75%,交流活动占35.90%。在交际能力方面,教材中话语能力要素占23.81%,语言能力要素占23.81%,行为能力要素占4.76%,社会文化能力要素占14.29%,策略能力要素占0%。
