Since PMUs are generally used in transmission systems so mostly algorithms related to optimal placement (OPP) are not considered the radial structure of distribution network. In this piece of work, Traditional Depth Search Algorithm and a Proposed Modified Depth Search Algorithm are adopted to solve judicious µPMU placement problem. Proposed Methods are tested on 40 and 85 IEEE radial distribution feeder, randomly integrated with distributed energy resources.
