This paper provides a review on yoga pose self-assessment system, which assesses a yoga practitioner’s pose correctness with the help of deep learning algorithms, so that injuries caused out of incorrect postures can be prevented. The system detects a yoga pose and then calculates the difference between the pose of the user and that of the instructor using dynamic time warping (DTW) for video input and using angle difference calculation for static image input.
