Concurrent modulation and transmission of microwave signal using frequency modulation of laser diode and transmission through dispersive optical fiber
A new fiber-optic microwave transmission scheme which enables concurrent phase modulation and transmission is proposed. A 140 Mbps DBPSK modulation and transmission over 100 km of single mode fiber is demonstrated at 1550 nm wavelength.
