The developed system was applied and tested in a real home environment. The target was the power consumption reduction and the monitoring of different energy parameters (current, voltage, real power, reactive power, and apparent power). Also, an automatic detection of the power factor and its associated correction system are designed and implemented to eliminate or to reduce reactive energy consumption.
