Evaluasi Performa Produksi Telur Pada Parent Stock Ayam Broiler Strain Cobb Dan Ross Di PT. Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Unit Purwakarta
Production performance of broiler parent stock is influenced by genetics, environment, and their interactions. The research was conducted in August-October 2019 to determine the performance of Cobb and Ross broiler parent stock strain and to determine the different of their production in PT. Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Unit Purwakarta. Descriptive methods was used in this research and data collection was done by purposive sampling method. Production and consumption data were obtained from 7 cages of Cobb strain with a population of 47.410 heads and 9 cages of Ross strain with a population of 53.165 heads. Production performance testing of Cobb and Ross strain was analyzed with independent t test. The results showed the average feed consumption of strain Cobb 150,59±1,24 g, egg mass 43,38±1,72 g, hen day production (HDP) 64.06 ± 2.30%, and feed convertion ratio (FCR) 3.48 ± 0.15, while the Ross strain were 154,85±0,92 g, 46,79±1,03 g, 71.92 ± 1, 31% and 3.31 ± 0.07 respectively. Although the feed consumption of Ross was higher than Cobb strain, Ross had higher egg production and HDP, and lower FCR than Cobb strain.
