User-friendly software system for analyzing antennas and radiowave propagation links
The authors describe a software system that simplifies the use of proven analysis codes by interfacing them with a user-friendly, Windows-based pre-/postprocessor. A user with only a basic understanding of PCs and Windows will be able to use the system to predict the performance of any antenna structure or communication link. This broad applicability is achieved by integrating a unique selection of available algorithms into a single package. The system uses closed-form and simple moment method (MM) solutions that allow an analyst to perform quick parametric studies of generic antenna types. It also uses state-of-the-art MM and GTD (geometric theory of diffraction) codes to model in detail virtually any antenna structure of any size. Propagation codes are included so that complete end-to-end system performance can be determined.<>
