In this paper, we provide the mathematical foundation of the pooling principle for B-RAN. We first present the system model of B- RAN and introduce the concept of effective network capacity to measure the network performance. We quantify the effect of pooling in B- RAN by deriving the effective network capacity and illustrate the pooling principle of B- RAN.
