Based on the achievements in the photovoltaic and battery research and development sector in the last decade this technology becomes more available and also more affordable. Advanced control algorithms operating the system in defined optimal conditions are described. Lifetime of the system, as well as the battery, is also taken into account. Emphasis is placed on the irradiation prediction which is responsible for accurate PV yield estimation.
