As the pilot burst triggers DBCE operation periodically, DBCE operation is shown to be remarkably stable to Gaussian noise and Doppler shift with proper parameter setting until the next pilot burst arrives. In the DBCE detected data is re-coded and integrated over multiple symbols for the stable channel estimation which is again used for the coherent detection.
