In the most productive places of the water area the level of phytoplankton growth corresponded to indicators of mesotrophic-eutrophic waters and was maximum in the northern area. Concentration of phosphates was the main regulator of bloom of coccolithophore Emilianiahuxleyi, besides water temperature.
