The study of the instructional text through the prism of linguistics and translation studies is relevant research, since the instruction is directly related to the high-tech process that causes the emergence of new products. This scenario requires further study of the phenomenon. The purpose of the article is to analyze the use of transformations in translation of English user manuals for household appliances into Ukrainian at the grammatical and syntactic levels. The object of the research is the text units of English and Ukrainian user manuals. The study is based on the user manuals for household appliances of such companies as Beko, Indesit, and Philips. During the study, the characteristic grammatical and syntactic peculiarities of the user manuals for household appliances were analyzed. The result of the study is the identification of the most common means of translation of the above-mentioned features. When translating user manuals into Ukrainian, literal translation is mostly often used. Syntactic permutation and sentence fragmentation are most frequently used next. Less frequent way of translating is sentence integration.
