As a result, feature dimension is higher and computational cost is greater. Hence, this paper presents a novel region-based LCVBP feature extraction method for face recognition. Firstly, we locate the feature points in a face image, such as eyes, nose and mouth, and obtain feature region by utilizing the location of feature points. Secondly, the LCVBP histograms of these feature regions are extracted, and sequentially put together as the final histogram characteristics of an image. 摘要
LCVBP (Local Color Vector Binary Patterns)方法从彩色图像的色范数模式和色角模式中提取多信号通道特征。因此,特征维数较高,计算成本较大。为此,本文提出了一种新的基于区域的LCVBP特征提取方法。首先,对人脸图像中的眼、鼻、口等特征点进行定位,利用特征点的位置得到特征区域;其次,提取这些特征区域的LCVBP直方图,并依次汇总为图像的最终直方图特征;实验结果表明,通过放弃人脸图像中的这些冗余信息,我们也可以获得与LCVBP方法近似相等的识别率,但特征向量的维数大大降低,计算成本显著降低,并且可以更快地实现人脸识别。
