Performance Analysis of NOMA System for Different Power Allocation Criterion
Recently, Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is considered as one of the most propitious schemes for the fifth generation (5G) wireless networks. This technique helps to achieve better throughput and spectral efficiency when compared to OMA which is typical of fourth generation (4G) networks. NOMA also ensures flexibility for users in terms of resource allocation. Power allocation has been a recent area of interest for 5G networks which plays a vital role in enhancing the efficiency of the network. This paper implements a new user pairing algorithm for NOMA in multi-user environment where two definite FTPA based dynamic power allocation strategies have been taken into consideration. The simulation results obtained from both the power allocated approaches are further compared for both NOMA and OMA schemes in which system throughput, spectral and energy efficiencies have been used as comparison metrics for justification of the results.
