The Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) technology of power equipment is elaborated in detail. With the popularization and application of sensing technology, wireless communication networks, and computers in power systems, power engineers have developed a new online monitoring and the fault diagnosis system for transmission lines and transformers. It ensures the realization of the Condition Based Maintenance mode of power equipment.
