Sosialisasi Terapi Uap Panas pada Warga di Pasar Tradisional Oeba Kupang untuk Pertolongan Pertama Pengobatan Mandiri terhadap Covid-19

The presence of the corona virus that causes the Covid-19 disease that has hit the world, including people in Indonesia and in East Nusa Tenggara since the end of 2019, has affected various aspects of people's lives. Many people died because they were too late to receive medical treatment, or because the availability of medical facilities was inadequate. The COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on citizens' activities to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak have had a major impact on the economy and human education. Recognizing this problem, hot steam therapy education was carried out to residents as an effort to handle, treat and first aid as well as independently, if exposed to a virus attack that interfered with the respiratory organs. The method of activities carried out are lectures and demonstrations. The results of the activity were lectures and demonstrations of hot steam therapy in the middle of the traditional market of Oeba Kupang and the distribution of simple tutorial guides on how to use hot steam therapy to traders and market visitors. Traders and market visitors who participated in the socialization and witnessed the demonstration, also expressed their opinion that this treatment method was effective in overcoming the COVID-19 disease. There are also those who share their experiences of healing from corona virus infections in this way. Several traders and visitors seemed to give each other confirmation based on their experience that hot steam therapy, accompanied by a few drops of eucalyptus oil, can overcome colds and coughs which are symptoms identical to the corona virus attack.
