Research on Susceptibility Evaluation of Geological Hazards in Changyang County Based on Information Method
With the gradual intensification of human engineering activities in Chinese mountainous and hilly areas in recent years, coupled with frequent occurrence of extreme weather, geological hazards are aggravated, posing a huge threat to the safety of people’s lives and properties. How to perform more accurate division of hazard-prone areas and guide local government in disaster prevention and alleviation is of vital importance. Research on susceptibility evaluation of geological hazards in Changyang County is carried out in this paper based on information method. The research findings show that high and extremely high-prone areas in the region are mainly distributed along the banks of Qingjiang River in Changyang County and the area of Geheyan Reservoir, while the medium and low-prone areas are mainly distributed in the surrounding areas of Ziqiu Town and Yazikou Township. The research results are able to guide the local government in disaster prevention and mitigation to some extent.
