The optical variability of some blazars at different time scales - recent results
We present some results on the optical brightness variabilty of the blazars that were proposed as candidates for observation by N. S. Kardashev with colleagues about two decades ago. Intensive studies using the 1-m class telescopes of SAO RAS allowed us to discover numerous manifestations of flux variation on timescales from minutes to months. Together with some our earlier results, we present the new ones, not published yet. The opening for observations of the SAO RAS complex of small telescopes provided us with multiple increase of observing facilities. As a result of this development, we can detect many local and global brightness maxima for these violently variable sources as well as the intraday variation phenomena.
