For this reason, this contribution outlines the conversion of an existing, decades-old building into a smart office building. Combining this idea with the integration of future technologies – power-to-hydrogen and DC microgrids as well as the integration of existing approved facilities such as a switching matrix system – establishes the concept of a Smart Energy Complex.
