A Mind Map-oriented Mobile Learning Approach to Promoting Creative Thinking Ability of Students in a Business Course
Creativity is one of the major education reforms in the world nowadays. All advanced countries pay more attention on the inspiration of students' creative thinking ability. With the creative thinking ability, it is important to university students before entering the workplace. Thus, the study mainly proposed a learning model with mind mapping strategy embedded in mobile device for a business planning course. The research issue mainly investigates whether such a learning model could inspire students more creativity or not. 90 university students from Northern Taiwan are divided to two groups, an experimental group around 44 students adopting Mindtools embedded in mobile devices, while a control group around 46 students adopting conventional didactic instruction method. The research findings show that the proposed learning model could significantly promote students' creativity. Meanwhile, the students also gave positive and high feedback in the intention of mind mapping strategy. That is, the students agree to the benefit of the proposed learning model.
