In this paper, we discuss the array design method based on equivalent array concept. And we demonstrate the difference of several arrays corresponding to the same equivalent array in the pattern performance in the near-field at high frequency. Due to non-uniqueness of design results, the optimal array selection approach considering both cross-range resolution and grating lobes is proposed.
