Researching the spatial relationships between vegetation cover change and ground slope has great significance. Based on MODIS data, the results obtained in this paper demonstrate a temporal-spatial distribution and trends of NDVI in Hubei Province, and described the characteristics of variation in NDVI under different slope, using the method of MVC and Single Linear Regression Analysis with ArcGIS and ENVI. The main factors affecting changes of NDVI under different slope were discussed.
