The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of User Education activities on library use by students of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. The research method is descriptive quantitative with a questionnaire as a primary data collection tool. The population of this research is all students of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Imam Bonjol Padang 2021-2022. Research questions were answer and analysis was performed using the mean scores. Research findings reveal that students of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities have various levels of understanding of the concept of User Education. The study also found that the User Education program positively influenced student use of the library and helped meet their academic information needs. The results of the study also found several problems that hindered User Activities effectively such as excess participants, lack of infrastructure, less innovative human resources, shortage of teaching materials, limited time allocated for activities, less conducive supporte and inadequate space. 摘要

这项研究的动机是大学图书馆作为一个非常重要的因素,在满足学术界的信息需求,在实施高等教育的三法,没有一个有效的用户教育计划,这些角色是无法实现的,因为这个计划的目的是建立意识,如何有效地利用图书馆的服务和资源。本研究的目的是描述用户教育活动对伊玛目邦约尔巴东大学Adab和人文学院学生使用图书馆的有效性。研究方法是描述性定量,以问卷调查为主要数据收集工具。本研究的对象为2021-2022年巴东伊玛目邦约尔大学人文学院的所有学生。回答研究问题,并使用平均得分进行分析。研究结果显示,Adab和人文学院的学生对用户教育的概念有不同程度的理解。研究还发现,用户教育计划积极影响学生对图书馆的使用,并有助于满足他们的学术信息需求。研究结果还发现了有效阻碍用户活动的几个问题,如参与者过多、缺乏基础设施、缺乏创新的人力资源、缺乏教材、分配给活动的时间有限、缺乏有利的支持和空间不足。本研究认为,使用者教育在学生教育中处于中心地位,使用者教育计划不可或缺,必须提供足够的资源,以确保使用者教育计划的理想目标得以实现。
