Analysis and Design of Current-fed LCL Series Resonant Converter with Capacitive Doubler
Current-fed, isolated, dc/dc converters with high gain generating capability are needed for integration of PV panel to DC micro grid. A resonant tank such as LCC-T and LLC-SRC are often employed to eliminate switching losses for high power density and efficiency. Due to higher number of components and operating modes, design of the converter is complex and often needs iterative approach. Lack of simplicity in design of the converter makes it difficult to implement and explore. In order to eliminate this drawback, this paper proposes a simple and straight forward technique to design the current fed LLC-SRC resonant converter without compromise in efficiency. Proposed theory is supported with simulations conducted in PSIM 12.0 environment.
