Adler–Dreikurs Ideas and Methods as Applied to the Individual, School, and Society: A Conversation

Abstract:This interview with Dr. Eva Dreikurs Ferguson was conducted by Anabella Shaked shortly after the 2021 International Committee for Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes, known as ICASSI. Dreikurs held the first Adlerian summer school in 1962 in Denmark, and it has since been held in many countries. The original interview was conducted in English and translated to Spanish, intended for Spanish-speaking people interested in Adler’s Individual Psychology and to respond to the growing interest of that audience in Adler’s and Dreikurs’s work. The conversation focuses on the importance of the Adler–Dreikurs ideas and methods as applied to the individual, school, and society. Moving memories about Dr. Ferguson’s father, Rudolf Dreikurs, are shared in this interview.
