Apart from heat related injuries, extreme heat can catalyze reactions to worsen the outdoor air quality, increase wildfire occurrences, and worsen pre-existing heart conditions or chronic illnesses. Assessing the general public’s knowledge of protective measures against EHEs is needed to prevent further heat-related injuries.
