The antenna, namely metasurface antenna, is made by a patch antenna covered with a metasurface in which numerous elliptical unit cells arranged periodically. The frequency reconfiguration can be realized by rotating the metasurface mechanically. Measured results, consistent with simulation ones, show ninety degree rotation can make resonant frequency changing from 4.52GHz to 5.31GHz. Antenna gain can reach 6.8dBi.
