Research and Analysis of Anti-jamming Performance on the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System
The Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) is the communication component of Link-16. In order to have a deeper understanding of the communication of Link-16, this paper studies and analyzes the anti-jamming performance of JTIDS. This paper establishes the signal transmission model of JTIDS and jamming model first, analyzes the signal encoding, modulation and transmission process. Then the effects of broadband/partial-band jamming and comb jamming on JTIDS are studied respectively. It turns out that partial-band jamming is more effective than broadband jamming, and comb jamming is more destructive to message data. And in some cases, the signals of JTIDS can be transmitted normally even if they are swamped by noise jamming.
