A Study Into A Low Cost Element For A Mobilesat Antenna Array
A study into minimising the cost of an antenna array element suitable for use in mobile satellite communications is presented. Stacked configurations for a circular microstrip antenna fed from coaxial lines are considered. A comparison is made between two variations of array ellements with and without lower layer dielectrics. Experimental results including return loss and input impedance plots for bolth types of antenna, are presented in this paper.
