Understanding Net Metering System as an Incentive to Promote Rooftop Solar Photovoltaics

Rooftop Solar Photovoltaics (RTPV) is a suitable strategy for distributed generation of electricity while ensuring sustainability. Diffusion of such technology needs incentives and net metering works as a financial incentive towards proliferation of RTPV. It has been found from the discussion that net metering is a suitable strategy for an energy deficient country like india to ensure regular and uninterrupted supply of power without depending much on grid electricity.
