Existing literature concentrate on electromechanical oscillations between generators due to power system events like faults and load generation imbalance. In this paper we analyze a different kind of oscillation that are caused by nonlinearities in control systems. Such oscillations have been observed in the system from time to time, but have remained difficult to characterize.
