The most simple and most efficient transfer system is a transformer with an air gap. The paper is focused on analysis of properties of the transformer with relatively large air gap and the secondary winding which is a movable part. The transformer is used to deliver energy to an electronic equipment mounted on the head of drill machine. In order to increase energy efficiency and power density the capacitance compensation system for leakage inductances is applied. Since the secondary is movable, an analysis of generation of the energy resulting from spatial changes of magnetic field is carried out.
