This paper proposes a multi-criteria fuzzy based system to create a short listing of the most suitable suppliers. Only the members of this short listing would be allowed to request for offers in a tender. The proposed system uses three main criteria and twenty sub-criteria. Dataset collected from five different companies is used to validate the system against experts’ opinions.
