Project "Digital Cultural and Historical Heritage of Plovdiv Municipality" - Problems and Solutions?

The purpose of this article is to study and analyze the results of the project "Digital Cultural аnd Historical Heritage оf Plovdiv Municipality". A main part is the formulation of the problems during and after the project and the possible solutions. An important element of the study is the realization of a field expedition in the Roma neighbourhoods in Plovdiv and summarizing the results from it. All of this is a contribution to and experience in the field of digitization of cultural and historical heritage in the museums and galleries (following the example of Plovdiv Municipality). The basis of the study is the website www.digital.plovdiv.bg, the participants in the project and the specific field expedition. More than 50,000 movable cultural properties have been digitized. Part of the immovable properties of the city, as well as the intangible cultural heritage of the Roma are added to them.
