ÖZÜMSEME KAPASİTESİNİN İŞLETME PERFORMANSI ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ: KOBİ’LERDE BİR ARAŞTIRMA THE EFFECT OF ABSORPTIVE CAPACITY ON BUSINESS PERFORMANCE: A RESEARCH IN SMEs Mehmet KAPLAN Geliş Tarihi: 27.01.2021 Kabul Tarihi: 23.08.2021 (Received) (Accepted) ÖZ: Özümseme kapasitesi işletmelerin yeni bir bilginin değerinin farkına varabilmesi, onu özümseyip işletme amaçlarına yönlendirebilmesini ifade etmektedir. İşletmelerin yeni bilgiyi kavramasını, özümsemesini ve kullanmasını sağlayan özümseme kapasitesi işletmenin performansı üzerinde etkili bir unsur olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu noktada bu çalışmada “işletmelerin özümseme kapasitelerinin işletme performansı üzerinde etkisi var mıdır?” temel araştırma sorusuna yanıt aranmaktadır. Çalışma, Isparta-Burdur Bölgesi KOBİ’lerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. İlgili KOBİ’lerde yönetici düzeyinde çalışan 218 kişiye ulaşılmıştır. İlgili kişilere yönelik anket tekniği kullanılmıştır. Yazında bu yöndeki çalışmalar daha çok büyük işletmelerde gerçekleştirilmiş dolayısıyla üretilen sonuçlar ve öneriler de bu yönde değer bulmuştur. Ancak bu çalışma KOBİ’lerde gerçekleşmesi dolayısıyla yazına özgün bir değer katabilir ve pratik uygulamaya yönelik yararlı fikriler sunacağı düşünülmektedir. ABSTRACT: The absorptive capacity implies that businesses can realize the value of a new information, assimilate it and direct it towards business objectives. The absorptive capacity that enables businesses to grasp, absorb and use new information is considered as an effective factor on the performance of the business. At this point, in this study is sought an answer to the basic research question “Does the absorptive capacity of enterprises have an impact on business performance?" The study was carried out in the SMEs of Isparta-Burdur Region. 218 people working at executive level in related SMEs were reached. Questionnaire technique was used for the people concerned. In the literature, studies in this direction have been carried out mostly in large enterprises, so the results and suggestions produced have found value in this direction. However, this study can add an original value to the literature as it takes place in SMEs and is thought to offer useful ideas for practical application.
