This is mainly due to its bidirectionality, and the ability to operate under a wide range of input and output voltages. There are several modulation strategies for this converter, each one with its strengths and weaknesses.In this paper, several modulators from state of the art are compared, and the losses of the transistors and the inductor are computed.
