Objective: To determine the activity of extracts and fractions of ketapang leaves in reducing blood glucose levels of rats induced by alloxan. Methods: This study was an experimental study using 30 male wistar rats as test animals divided into 6 groups. Group I was healthy control, group II was negative control (K-) that given 0.5% Na CMC solution, group III was positive control (k+) that given metformin suspension, groups IV, V, and VI were given ketapang leaf extract, methanol fraction and n-hexane fraction, respectively. Results: The ethanol extract and methanol fraction of ketapang leaves can reduce blood glucose levels in white rats because they contain flavonoid compounds which are thought to have antihyperglycemic activity. 摘要
背景:Ketapang叶(Terminalia catappa)可以作为一种传统药物使用,具有降低体内血糖水平的潜在活性。目的:研究吉打邦叶提取物及部位对四氧嘧啶诱导大鼠血糖的降血糖作用。方法:以30只雄性wistar大鼠为实验动物,分为6组进行实验研究。I组为健康对照组,II组为阴性对照组(K-),给予0.5% Na CMC溶液,III组为阳性对照组(K +),给予二甲双胍混悬液,IV、V、VI组分别给予吉打柏叶提取物、甲醇馏分和正己烷馏分。结果:吉打邦叶乙醇提取物和甲醇组分含有抗高血糖活性的类黄酮,可降低大鼠血糖水平。结论:吉打邦叶甲醇组分对四氧嘧啶诱导的大鼠血糖降低效果最好。
