This technology is suitable as the learning media due to provides a real learning experience for students. Therefore, this research has aimed to determine the effectiveness of augmented reality in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic to students’ physics problem-solving ability. The true-experimental method was used for this research which the Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design as the design research. The participant of this research were 69 students that divided into two groups (experimental class and control class). The initial similarity results indicated that both the experimental class and the control class were normal and homogeneous samples. The independent t-test result showed that the integrating of augmented reality into online learning in pandemic covid-19 gave a significant impact on the students’ problem-solving ability. Moreover, the addition of Augmented Reality to the learning process provided a real and direct experience for students in a physics phenomenon so the students could easily imagine the phenomena to solve the problems. © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc..
