Simulation design of output-stage for residential smart-grid
This paper is an overview of a preliminary attempt at the modeling procedure of a bi-directional power converter system for design an output-stage of a residential smart-grid based solid-state transformer. The aim was to develop a simulation model, which has been performed with a PLECS circuit simulator. The studies of this manuscript dealt with the analysis and design of bi-directional power converters and their control strategies based on the requirements of the residential smart-grid power flow. Moreover, the simulation model was performed for 10 kW power flow in both directions and results from the simulation such as total system efficiency, power factor, or total harmonic distortion were evaluated.
