After getting the mathematical model of the three-phase ac/dc converter, the author gives the expression of the active and reactive powers variations. Consequently, the author deduces the ten switching lookup tables including the Noguchi table (conventional table) and improved table. In order to obtain a quasi-sinusoidal shape of the grid line current, a unity power factor, adjustment of DC-link voltage and the low THD ratio, the author has established a comparative study between the ten switching tables.
