The data were analyzed by using Normality Test, Linearity Test, Bivariate Pearson Product Moment, and Descriptive statistical analysis by IBM SPSS 26. The finding indicated English learning motivation correlated with English pragmatic competence. Although the correlation degree was 0.563 which had a moderate degree of correlation, they have a positive correlation which means the English learning motivation has contributed to the pragmatic competence. 摘要

本研究旨在探讨非英语专业研究生的英语学习动机与语用能力及其当前语用能力之间的显著关系。来自爪哇各省(西、中、东爪哇)的350名非英语专业研究生参与了本研究。本研究采用一份针对英语学习动机的适应性问卷(态度与动机测试组(AMTB))和两种适应性语用能力测试(多项选择语篇完成测试(MDCT)和书面语篇完成测试(WDCT)),以相关研究的形式进行定量研究。采用IBM SPSS 26对数据进行正态性检验、线性检验、双变量Pearson积差和描述性统计分析。研究结果表明,英语学习动机与英语语用能力相关。虽然关联度为0.563,关联度为中等,但两者之间存在正相关关系,说明英语学习动机对语用能力有一定的促进作用。爪哇省区非英语专业研究生的语用能力水平尚处于发展阶段,主要原因是学生对语用能力测试中的反应理解不足,尤其是语用意识。
