However, as the key basis for controller design, the small signal model of RSCC is rarely studied. This paper firstly introduces the operation principle of RSCC under phase shift control. Then the small signal model of RSCC is studied based on the extended describing function (EDF) method. With the small signal model, the controller is designed to improve the RSCC dynamic performance.
