Time-stepping finite-element analysis of large synchronous motors with AC adjustable-speed drives for acoustic noise control studies
An accurate calculation of air-gap ripple forces and torques is performed for a 21.55 MVA synchronous motor supplied by large AC adjustable-speed drives by using a time-stepping finite-element software package.
